Introduction:

Multinodular Goitre (MNG) is a condition where the thyroid gland becomes enlarged and develops multiple lumps or nodules. These nodules can vary in size and may or may not produce thyroid hormones. In many cases, MNG doesn’t cause symptoms initially, but as the goitre grows, it may lead to visible swelling in the neck or pressure-related symptoms. It is more common in older adults and in regions with low iodine intake.

CT or MRI scan – in case of large goitre extending into the chest
